synopsis:

Set in the Texas Hill Country, This Is Where We Live is a moving portrait of a family in crisis. Diane Sutton is straining under the weight of her own health issues and her role as primary caregiver to both her son August, who has cerebral palsy, and to her husband who is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. Overburdened, she hires Noah, a local handyman, to help around the house. Noah and August form an unlikely friendship, the effects of which ripple throughout the family, upending the tenuously balanced family and ultimately forcing Noah to confront his own past.

Produced by New York City based Bluff City Productions, this full length feature marks the directorial debut of Marc Menchaca and Josh Barrett and features Tobias Segal, Frankie Shaw, CK McFarland, Ron Hayden, and Barry Corbin.

This Is Where We Live premiered at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival and was selected by numerous other festivals for the remainder of 2013-2014.
